Karan planning to work with Aishwarya Rai



Karan Johar is now planning to make with the beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , he hasn't not done single project with Aishwarya Rai in his career. But in his forthcoming movie according to script and storyline Aishwarya is an ideal person for the movie, and he is saying that this is only right time to work with Ash.

Both the prominent directors Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali were discussing about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on the birthday party of Sonali Bedre. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was praising Aishwarya's innocence, talent, perfection in her work an all. And Sanjay added that if any director worked with once in his life tiome with Aishwarya Rai, that means he has lost some thing his life, "Big Loss". Choreographer Farah Khan turned director now turns actor !


Farah Khan will, for the first time, appear on the big screen,this time in front of the camera.The director will act in a cameo in a comedy titled Khichdi-EBLS directed by Aatish Kapadia of TV serial "Khichdi" fame.Teh comedy movie will be produced by J D Majethia under the banner of Hats Off Productions Pvt Ltd.

Farah will be playing herself,as a director.When asked how the whole experience was,she says that it was a lot of fun and she enjoying shooting for the film as she was pampered with a lot of scrumptious Gujrati food ! The producers were all praises for the new actor.Farah commitment's towards the project was admired by everyone on the set.“She was always present on the days when I required her for the shoot and also sincerely followed everything that was instructed to her by our director, Aatish Kapadia.”said the producer.He also spoke about Farah's role in the movie.She will be playing a director who is approached by the characters to make a flop film with the intention to annoy someone,Farah agrees on one condition that she shouldn't be given credit for the film so made.
The movie Khichdi-EBLS will feature Anang Desai, Rajiv Mehta, Nimisha Vakharia,Supriya Pathak,Markand Soni,Kesar Majethia,Girish Shahdev,Satish Shah, Deven Bhojani and Paresh Ganatra in a special appearance.The two actors debuting in the movie will be Jamnadas Majethia and Kirti Kulhari.
It will be interesting to see how Farah,who's given two hits with Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om back to back,perform in the movie !

J P Dutta


J P Dutta,full name Jyoti Prakash Dutta is a Bollywood director and producer.He was born on the 3rd October 1949 in Mumbai in the family of O P Dutta who was an established director himself and still writes dialogues for his son's films.J P Dutta is famous for his direction of patriotic movies in action genre and produces his films under the banner of JP Films.
The directors usually has a multi starrer cast.He has been honoured with the National Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration' for the film Border released in the year 1998.The song from the film 'Sandese Aate Hain' became so popular in the Indian Army that it is still played every time there is a celebration there.
Other films directed by J P Dutta include Refugee,LOc Kargil and Umrao Jaan(2006),Kshatriya(1993),Hathyar(1989),Yateem(1988),Ghulami(1985).
Director J P Dutta is married to Bindiya Goswami who was a popular actress of her time.He has two daughters Nidhi and Siddhi.

Shraddha Kapoor in Bhansali's next


Shraddha Kapoor who made her debut in Teen Patti has already been signed for another film being produced by the highly acclaimed Indian film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The film titled 'My Friend Pinto' will be directed by Raghav Dar, who earlier assisted Mani Ratnam in the making of Guru and then was associate director on Abbas Tyrewala’s Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na.

My Friend Pinto stars Prateik Babbar in the lead. The film required fresh faces. After Prateik was finalised as the hero, the production house was hunting for the female lead. Few girls were shortlisted, but Shraddha Kapoor caught director Raghav and Bhansali’s eye.

Prateik and Shraddha shares good friendship for some time now and often spotted out together. The movie will also have Manisha Koirala playing a pivotal role.

Raj Khosla


Raj Khosla was one of the top directors in Bollywood flicks from the 50s to the 80s. Raj Khosla was popularly known as a 'women's director,' because he showcased every actress at her best.

Raj was often credited for success of actors like Dev Anand. But Dev Anand later chose Raj to be Guru Dutt's assistant for movies, and eventually he became director.

One of the great directors of Hindi cinema Raj Khosla assisted Guru Dutt and in 1954 got a break with Milap, casting Dev Anand and Geeta Bali. However, the film didn't turned out to be successful. Raj Khosla's most notable films are C.I.D. (1956), Woh Kaun Thi? (1964), Do Badan (1966), Do Raaste(1969), Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki (1978), etc.

He also made films like Solva Saal (1958), Bambai Ka Babu (1960), Mera Saaya (1966), Anita (1967), Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971). The mid 1970s was not too good a period for Raj Khosla.

After enjoying big success with hit films like Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki (1978) and Dostana (1980) with Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha and Zeenat Aman Raj's other films started flopping. With this failure Raj starting drinking and died in 1991.

Raj Khosla was also nominated for the Filmfare Nomination as Best Director for the film Do Raaste (1970). He was again nominated for the Filmfare Nomination as Best Director for the movie Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki (1978). He bagged the Filmfare Best Movie Award for Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki (1978).

Mansoor Khan


Son of film maker Nasir Hussain, Mansoor Khan made his directorial debut with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) which launched the career of his cousin Mr perfectionist Aamir Khan. The film was a huge success. Click on to read what's in the horoscope of Aamir Khan.

At the end of a decade dominated by action-oriented films, Mansoor Khan's directorial debut marked the way back for the musical romantic genre in Bollywood industry. Masoor Khan followed the success four years later with Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander (1992).

Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995) and Josh (2000), which were Mansoor Khan's last two flicks were moderately successful. Mansoor Khan made films based on a soft human touch. Needless to say, the music in his films has always been highly appreciated.

Settled in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, Mansoor Khan made a comeback as a producer and has co-produced the movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na along with Aamir Khan.

Ram Gopal Varma's publication hits multiplexes


Ram Gopal Varma and his producer Madhu Mantena alongwith the Rann team have started editing and publishing a 10-page daily newspaper called the Rann Times. Like any daily, Rann Times carries news on politics, entertainment, sports and other social activities. The newspaper was distributed in 500 multiplex theatres across the country, and have a circulation of 3 lakhs.

Producer Madhu Mantena said since the upcoming flick Rann is about the relationship between the common man and the media the team thought a daily newspaper would be a good way of supporting the film.

If even just as a filmmaker, Ram Gopal Varma could create so many controversies, will he be more aggressive as an independent editor...
