Rajkumar worked hard on NOKJ

Considering the movie's sensitive issue, the director of No One Killed Jessica Rajkumar Gupta revealed that it took him three months to complete research on the real life incident of Jessica Lall, and seven months for penning down the script.

Rajkumar GuptaHaving fear with the controversies, Rajkumar Gupta clarified that the purpose of using real names in the flick is not with an intention to lay blame on anyone, rather the concept is his interpretation of the case. Talking about his forthcoming flick, the filmmaker asserted that this factor did come to his mind earlier. So Rajkumar tried to approach the film with as much sensitivity as possible. NOKJ, a case which releases on January 7, 2011, is basically based on the real life story of New Delhi based model Jessica Lall, who was shot on the spot by Manu Sharma, son of a prominent Haryana politician.

Apparently, Rajkumar Gupta had a tough time while scripting the story as there were so many characters involved that he did not want the story to mess up. Rajkumar also clarified that Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan shared good time with each other and have great fun while shooting..

The director with great appeal

Rajkumar Hirani directed the very popular film ‘Munnabhai MBBS’, ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’, and ‘3 Idiots’, which became the highest grossing film ever in India when it was released. Back in 2005, when Rajkumar Hirani was directing the movie Lage Raho Munnabhai there was a lot of scepticism on the sets.

Rajkumar HiraniIn a scene, Munna and Circuit are shown drinking and Munna, in his rowdy manner, ask Bapu to leave them alone. Friends who dropped by on the sets were worried that Rajkumar Hirani had overstepped the boundaries of Indian sensibilities, especially when it comes to Mahatma Gandhi . But Hirani didn’t bother much about what people around him said. Rajkumar Hirani's last release, 3 Idiots, grossed in Rs. 339 crore worldwide. In many ways, after a successful run like that — and in a few cases, even without it — movie makers in tinsel town are known to veer towards cynicism or arrogance.

They become predictable and start taking things for granted. But Hirani has remained grounded in reality. Lage Raho Munnabhai was being screened at Cannes. The movie had already been released in India and had become a major blockbuster. The filmmaker plays down his success and believes that he has been fortunate, as his movies are both critically acclaimed and successful.

Farah’s Three’s Company

The logo of Three’s Company, Shrish Kunder and Bollywood ace filmmaker Farah Khan’s banner, has three little angels in outline. They are actually Farah Khan’s kids — Czar, Diva and Anya — and the images have been taken from the sonography footage Shrish Kunder shot when his wife was pregnant with the triplets.

Farah Khan
Farah’s hubby stated that, there’s a frame in which they are close to each other. The first few seconds of the logo will show the trio before their birth in the film’s credits. Her husband animated the images and gave them wings because they both believe that their babies are angels who have changed their lives totally. Shrish have shown it to the kids too and they’re jealous of these other babies who they think he have adopted. Incidentally, the banner was earlier called Shrish Kunder Film Company. But in 2008, when the three babies entered Shrish’s life, the name was changed to “Three’s Company”.

It flags off on December 25 with it’s first production, ‘Tees Maar Khan’, that already has high expectations.. Anyhow, the Tees Maar Khan sequel will flag off in January 2012. Before that Shrish Kunder will direct two movies, Joker with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, and Kick with Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha again. Both flicks have already generated enough excitement.

RGV’s fire

Hits or flops, there is no stopping for filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. The director is again all set to portray another tale from Andhra Pradesh which is a take on the dishonorable Bejawada Rowdyilu (Vijayawada rowdies) after his Rakta Charitra, the director is however leaving no stone unturned for his next project.

Ram Gopal Varma
I think you remember that RGV was threatened with awful consequences if he went ahead with the project. A host of personalities, that also included top politicians, was against what they call an attempt to paint a sorry picture about the city, where hooliganism ruled settled once. Though there was rigid opposition to Rakta Charitra too, but the heat Bejawada Rowdyilu have was no match. Ram Gopal Varma recently went to a Vijayawada college, with a aim to gather support from the students for the movie. When RGV visited V R Siddartha Engineering College, he thundered if he had the backing of the student community, no one could stop him from making the film.

Sooner it was noticed that Ram Gopal Varma was accompanied by Vijayawada MP Lagdapati Rajagopal, who offered his support. Despite requests, Ram Gopal Varma didn’t found it appropriate to reveal the star cast. Most big stars in Telugu have openly expressed their willingness to work with the director. At an event, South Indian actor Nagarjuna had requested the filmmaker to cast him in the movie. What RGV gonna do no one knows. Just wait and watch!!!
