Karan grateful to his fans for watching MNIK

My Name is Khan was at a high on the day of its release and so was director Karan Johar who thanked all the fans who came to watch the movie despite the controversies surrounding it.The film got an amazing response from audiences giving it a business of 25 crore in the opening day itself.All this after the film had been banned from certain cities in Maharashtra.
Karan Johar was grateful to all the fans and came out to all the theaters to meet the people who had come to watch the movie.He also had his pictures clicked with the fans."It is a special film and very close to my heart. It is unfortunate that we had to face such controversies."Karan added.MNIK is his fourth film.His previous film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna was a huge overseas success.
