Early Life and family :-
Mahesh Bhatt is a Hindi film director-producer.Bhatt's father, Nanabhai Bhatt,was a Hindu Brahmin and mother a Muslim. Nanabhai's brother, Balwant Bhatt was also a Hindi film director. Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Pooja Bhatt is from his first marriage to Kiran Bhatt. Bhatt's second wife is Soni Razdan, an accomplished film actress and director. Bhatt also has a son, Rahul Bhatt from his first marriage and two daughters from Soni Razdan Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt.
Mahesh Bhatt found spiritual companionship and guidance with mystic and philosopher, U.G. Krishnamurti, whose biography Bhatt later wrote as, U.G. Krishnamurti: A Life, in 1992. Apart from this Bhatt also edited several books based on conversations with U.G. Krishnamurti.
Cinematic style:-
Bhatt's films show an unusual engagement with the psychological damage arising from the social norms, situations which are characteristic of deep mental or emotional damage and trauma. All these films provided challenges of to their actors, who included both parallel and mainstream stars. Bhatt is very-well known for making both art films with topics related to real life and commercial films which include a wide division of action, comedy and thriller films.
Bhatt's serious films demanded strong performances from the performers, and actors who worked under Bhatt's hand have won awards for their performances in his films, like National Film Awards and Filmfare Awards. Bhatt has also won national and international awards for his films.
