Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny together again

Much has been penned about their friendship gone bitter with time. Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi and actor Sunny Deol, who gave bollywood some of its memorable moments, are back together. According to the sources it has been claimed that Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi have decided to bury the split between them. The two have given hits like Ghayal, Ghatak, and Damini respectively.

After the success of Sunny’s recent release Yamla Pagla Deewana, both the actor and director have realised that they should join hands once again and do another successful flick. These days the they are working towards making this dream come true and at the same time hoping that something works out soon for them. Rajkumar Santoshi's last project Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif was a big hit. And Sunny Deol's recent release also had a decent report at the box-office. Let’s see what they’ll offer next!!

Vikram returns to small screen

After making a trilogy of scary flicks, producer-director Vikram Bhatt is returning back to the small screen with Andhera, a series of creepy stories on channel Colors. Vikram even stated that he believes in ghosts and lives with them all the time. The filmmaker also said that he can feel their existence very well.

What’s scarier is to live with people around us. Two years ago, Ekta Kapoor had produced a show titled ‘Koi Aane Ko Hai’, which was based on real-life spirit tales written by those who had experiences with the baffling encounters with spirits. But this time Vikram Bhatt will take stories out of his own experiences rather than take them from someone else’s. Vikram Bhatt’s next release, a 3D horror movie “Haunted” is expected to hit theaters on April 15, 2011.

Madhur says he have slaughted DTBHJ

The censors liked his recent released film but they also thought that the content was adult. They wanted a lot of dialogue muted. Madhur Bhandarkar who wanted to send the prints of the film overseas once thought that if he had gone in for any changes in a hurry. However, the filmmaker have ended up slaughting the movie.

So, left with no option he had to settle for an ‘A’ certificate without any cuts. Dil To Baccha Hai Ji revolves around a 38-year-old divorcee enacted by Ajay Devgn in love with a 21-year-old, a womanizer played by Emraan Hashmi who doesn’t believe in commitment, and an idealist (Omi Vaidya) who was in search for true love. This rom-com is a reflection to today’s generation that keeps on talking about virginity, pornography and betrayal.

Madhur Bhandarkar told that he have bagged National Awards for movies like Chandni Bar, Page 3, Traffic Signal and Fashion. The filmmaker puts the question that what we’ll do with these outdated censorship laws as a ten year old kid also like the film, that means that the child must have seen it at home.

Kunal Kohli

Kunal Kohli, the Bollywood filmmaker hails from Mumbai and started out as a movie critic in the late nineties and hosted the show ‘Chalo Cinema’ on Zee TV. Kunal Kohli also directed some music videos like Bally Sagoo's 'Mera Laung Gawacha', Bali Brahmabhatt's 'Tere Bin Jeena Nahin', Shiamak Davar's 'Jaane Kisne', Hema Sardesai's 'Bole Humse Kuch Na Gori' and Rajshri Music's 'Yeh Hai Prem', a song for Alisha Chinoy with Milind Soman.


This Bollywood director directed about twenty-four Music Videos before giving up video and TV for flicks. He also judged the popular TV show Nach Baliye's Season 2 for Star Plus in 2005. Kunal started his production house named Kunal Kohli Productions in 2007 to make movies for himself and launch new directors too, the first film that was made was “Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic” which was released in 2008. Kunal Kohli directed four movies for Yash Raj Films owned by ace filmmaker and producer Yash Chopra. Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002). After two years he came back with his second project Hum Tum (2004), the movie was one of the biggest hits of 2004 and established him as a known director. And 2006 release film Fanaa. The film won five Filmfare awards including Best Director for Kunal Kohli.

Vikram Bhatt

A scriptwriter, director and producer who is the grandson of Vikram Bhatt, who was one of the pioneer of Indian movies and the son of cinematographer Pravin Bhatt. Vikram Bhatt was born on 27 January, 1967. He has made more than 21 flicks that have been penned into his credit and currently the ace filmmaker is the creative head of a conglomerate called ASA productions.


Vikram Bhatt started with his career into direction in 1982, at the young age of 14, with late Director Mukul Anand in Mukul's first film, 'Kanoon Kya Karega'. The director worked with Mukul Anand for six and a half months. His last film with Mukul was one of Indian Cinema's classic, 'Agneepath', on which he was a chief assistant at that time. Prior to that, Vikram worked with director Shekhar Kapur for 2.5 years and later with Mahesh Bhatt for almost two years, on projects like, 'Hum Hain Raahi Pyaar Ke' that starred Juhi Chawla and Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt

and rahul Roy starrer 'Junoon'. Started directing with a film called 'Jaanam' with producer Mukesh Bhatt, Vikram’s first four films did not do too well at the box office, till he saw his first success in the film titled 'Fareb'. After this, he never looked back and had a rope of successful Bollywood movies like 'Ghulam', 'Kasoor', 'Raaz' and 'Awaara Pagal Deewana'. In 2008, Vikram Bhatt came with the success of his horror flick, '1920' that left the audiences thrilled. 'Shaapit' another horror film was directed in 2010. His 2011, horror offering is titled Haunted.

Ajay back with Rajkumar Santoshi

Ajay Devgan, who had earlier stepped out of filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi's Power is now back in the film. The movie as said was launched with a grand mahurat in September last year and featured Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan amongst others.


Most probably Amisha Patel could do the lead role. Firoz met Ajay at Filmistan studios where the star had gone to promote his upcoming film Dil To Baccha Hai Ji on the TV reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. Apparently, Firoz offered Ajay another flick apart from ‘Power’.

Aditya wants Salman

Salman Khan is the man in demand it seems. The actor after giving the successful film Dabaang is now finding himself in high demand these days. Salman, who has recently hosted Bigg Boss Season 4 has already his hand full for the year 2011, if his brother Arbaaz Khan is to be believed.


As the producer of ‘Dabanng’, Arbaaz Khan wanted to launch the sequel of the movie this year, but has to shift it to 2012 as Salman Khanhas his packed for the year. But there is another buzz floating around that Aditya Chopra might rope in Salman in for one of Yash Raj Film’s next projects. YRF has not worked with Salman so far but now Aditya wants Sallu to join the YRF gang. The YRF banner is closing in to sign a deal with Salman and he may ink the dotted lines soon.

The earlier speculation was that filmmaker Kabir Khan wanted to work with Salman and even spoke with the actor about a possible venture under the YRF banner. So what has made Aditya so desperate to work with our Chulbul Pandey? Aditya Chopra, understands business gimmicks too well and knows that Salman is no longer the touch me not Khan for the YRF as after ‘Dabanng’ he can rnake quite a lot of money. But even if the rumors are spreading, there’s no confirmation about such projects have come from neither YRF camp nor Salman Khan.

Madhur with a different script this time

After making hard-hitting films to his credit like Page 3, Fashion, Jail and Corportae, Madhur Bhandarkar just thought to shock the audiences this time with a different kind of cinema. The filmmaker is these days busy in promoting Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji which is set to hit theaters on January 26, 2011.


The movie stars Omi Vaidya, Emraan Hashmi, Shruti Hassan, Shazahn Padamsee, Ajay Devgn and Shraddha Das playing lead roles. Madhur Bhandarkar, a three-time national award winning director, mentioned that though the flick was different from his earlier works, it was still a realistic comedy. ”Dil To Baccha Hai Ji” is not a senseless comedy.

Everybody in the film make you feel that it is the tale of a person who one can identify with. The director liked the films of Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee, and Madhur have always thought a day will come when he will also make one. When asked if it was difficult to make a comedy, he aver that it’s not a easy task to make people laugh through comedies, and especially through a film like ''Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji''. But, he has made an attempt and we wish that audience would love him for his work this time too!!!

Madhur turns reporter

The director who is a three times National Award Winning Indian Film maker and script writer have made successful movies like Fashion, Page 3, Traffic Signal, Corporate, Satta, Chandni Bar, Jail, etc.is now looking forward to direct dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji, starring Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles.


During an interview with a renowned channel few days back, ace Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar took the microphone of the channel and started interviewing the stars of his upcoming film Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji. Emraan Hashmi and Ajay Devgn were supposed to be on the other side being grilled by the filmmaker, but the actors interrogated the director instead. But all this was done is good humour. Madhur Bhandarkar asked Ajay about his character in the movie DTBHJ. To this Ajay replied that the director of the movie asked him to act like him completely.

He wanted Ajay to play him, a 38-years-old falling in love with a 20-years-old. Hearing this Emraan Hashmi cracked up and the director was shocked and started laughing. When Emraan was asked the same question by Madhur, Emraan immediately asked Madhur to ask a sizzling question. Emraan was asked by Ajay whether the director taught him how to kiss in the movie? To this the star answered that as everyone knows that Madhur makes realistic cinema and he wanted to add his touch to everything. So even though Emraan knew how to kiss on screen he used to show him how to kiss each actress. The trio could not stop laughing for as long as the interview lasted. We wish that this time too Madhur who plays safe would have a hit this time too….

Rajkumar proposes Rani

Rajkumar Gupta who have directed Vidya Balan and Rani Mukherjee starrer No One Killed Jessica recently proposed Rani Mukherjee for marriage. Rani Mukherjee might have a long list of fan following in the audience, but she surely casts a magic spell on the filmmakers whom she works with.

Even Rani Mukherjee’s Bunty Aur Babli producer Aditya Chopra fell in love with her, that apparently lead to his divorce with wife Payal. Now the crew members of the movie NOKJ revealed that the film’s director Rajkumar Gupta has set his heart on the beautiful actress. If reports are true than the director couldn't take his eyes off Rani when she was on the sets of the movie. Rani has enacted the role of a reporter in the film.

There is a scene in the film wherein Rani’s colleague proposes her. Though that scene was to be done by someone else, RajKumar insisted on doing the scene himself. Although RajKumar has denied any link ups with the actress. And on the other side the filmmaker would be soon working with Rani once again in “RAPCHIK ROMANCE”, which is a romantic musical.
