Siddharth Anand

Siddharth Anand is an Bollywood filmaker who is the son of film producer Bittu Anand who produced the Amitabh Bachchan superhit film, Shahenshah. Siddharth Anand's grandfather was screenwriter named Indra Raj Anand who wrote 120 movies including Safar, Sangam and Ek Duje Ke Liye.

Siddharth Anand began his film career by helping Rahul Rawail in directing his movie Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, that featured Kajol and Suniel Shetty in the lead role. The director then co-wrote the 2004 hit film “Hum Tum” that starred Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee along with director Kunal Kohli and Siddharth ahs also worked as an executive producer and associate director on the film. At the age of 27, Siddharth Anand directed ‘Salaam Namaste’ loosely based on Jeff Goldblum starrer ‘Nine Months’, featuring Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta in the lead characters.

The movie became one of the biggest hits of the year 2005 and it helped the director to establish himself as a flawless director in the Hindi film industry. Siddharth Anand's second project, Ta Ra Rum Pum was released in April 2007. The movie starred Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerjee and was a semi hit at the box office. His third film Bachna Ae Haseeno having Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor as the cast got released on 15 August 2008. The film ran successfully worldwide and was a semi hit too.

Than he came up with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer Anjaana Anjaani which was produced by Sajid Nadiawala and the flick was released all over on the 1st of October 2010. The movie turned out to be a superhit.. Siddharth Anand has also worked with music composer jodi Vishal-Shekhar in all his four films and all the albums have gained popularity worldwide.
